Issues with Nvidia GeForce GT 750M on my Dell XPS 27" Touch (All in One Computer) with Operating System: Windows 8.1 Pro (64Bit).

Hi,
I am facing the issues with Nvidia GeForce GT 750M (NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2GB DDR5 with TPM V1.2 and Thunderbolt) on my Dell XPS 27" Touch (All in One Computer) with Operating System: Windows 8.1 Pro (64Bit) English. My Dell XPS 27" Touch has a Nvidia GeForce GT 750M  along with and onboard Intel HD 4600. With Windows 8, I had no issues with the graphic cards. However, after upgrading to Windows 8.1 the Nvidia graphic card stopped working. The device manager doesn't show the appearance status for the Nvidia GeForce GT 750M hardware under "display adapter." (only shows  Intel HD 4600.)
I tried installing a compatible Nvidia driver for Windows 8.1 but it did not work. How do I resolve this issue?

Thank You!

Sincerely,

En-Hai Lee

Hi,

Where did you download Nvidia driver? At Dell official site? if not, please access to Dell site to download Graphic driver and intall it for test.

If problem persists, In my opinion, it would be better to contact Dell Support for further assistance.

i suggest you to revert back to Windows 8, the trick is disable your external graphic card before you update to Windows 8.1, you also need to check the right driver from Dell site

This is what I got

http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails/Product/xps-27-2720-aio?driverId=MTJ58&osCode=WB64A&fileId=3289579030&languageCode=EN&categoryId=VI

for better answer regarding driver, you should contact Dell

I had the same problem since April 15 , tried drivers both Dell and Nvidia reinstalling Windows 8.1 ringing Dell technical support wizards who were next to useless  .

However i upgraded to Windows 10 Pro this week  and lo and behold checked in device manager and Nvidia GT 750 was now showing with yellow alert went in  update drivers and it automatically loaded and Bingo now showing both the Nvidia and Intel graphics.  Regards Eddie
